About Kamshet Paragliding:

Kamshet, a charming hill town in the naturally high hills of the Western Ghats, is just 2.5 hours from Mumbai. The area is known for a variety of adventurous activities and is also known as Maharashtra’s Paragliding Paradise.

This paragliding excursion can be booked in Kamshet with a group of licenced pilots and flying enthusiasts. In this excursion, you can admire the Sahyadri mountain range from a bird’s eye view and experience the airstream.

  1. The activity is open from 8:00 to 14:00 in winter and from 15:00 to 19:00 in summer.
    There are three types of paragliding, namely:
    Classic tandem paragliding
    Tandem paragliding in training
    Acro tandem paragliding
  2. The duration of the flight depends on the activity you choose and the weather conditions.
  3. The duration of your activity will be confirmed depending on the slots of the operator. Be at the place of the activity at the scheduled time.

  • Before the activity there is a short briefing by qualified professionals.
  • Take off and have fun. the bird’s eye view of Kamshet and the vast panoramas of the Sahyadri Mountains.
  • In summer, climb higher after launching from Lake Pavna, 350 feet away.
  • In winter, take off from Tower Hill, which is 800–900 feet high and operates from October to February.

Note on paragliding in Kamshet:

  1. Those who weigh more than 100 kg or are younger than 6 years old are not allowed to participate in the activity.
  2. The cost for photo and video shooting is INR 500 extra. (Remember to bring a SD card)
    Restrictions on paragliding in Kamshet
  • Flying under the influence of alcohol or other substances is prohibited.
  • Do not eat anything one hour before your flight.
  • It is recommended to take sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat or cap. Wear a long-sleeved top and trousers (track trousers or jeans). Do not wear loose dresses, skirts or sarees.
  • Do not wear chappals. Wear sturdy shoes or boots.
  • Any valuables brought or stored must be fully protected.
  • Each passenger must have a current government-issued photo ID (e.g., Aadhaar card, driver’s licence, or PAN card). This is required.
  • Litter is not allowed near the airfield or during the trip. Please take your personal items, water bottles, trash and any leftover food with you when you leave.
  • Water intake is important. Bring a bottle of water with you.
